“Makom” is a deeply emotional song written in the special home of my grandparents in Zikhron Ya’akov, just months after they passed away. My grandparents were a remarkable couple, embodying love, kindness, and devotion to family, their community, and the animals they cherished. Their home was not only a sanctuary for their family but also a haven for stray dogs, cats, and birds that found comfort and care under their roof.
The song was born out of a poignant moment of reflection. In June 2015, my grandmother passed away suddenly, leaving an immeasurable void. Just four months later, my grandfather followed her, overcome with grief. The once-vibrant house was left silent. Visiting their home with my father, I sat in their living room, now empty of the life and love it once held, and began to write. What started as a moment of quiet remembrance transformed into a tribute—a song dedicated to their memory.
“Makom” is a heartfelt ode to Aliza and Adi (Abram) Gutraiman, a couple whose love and legacy continue to inspire. It is a reminder of the places and people that shape us, filled with love, nostalgia, and longing.

“I had a dream where I opened a bar – I woke up with the groove, and the result is an awesome song.”
While working on the song, we managed to reconnect with the past, reliving the era of the Israeli club and bar scene in the ’90s and 2000s. The places and the dream served as inspiration for the track, along with the beloved sounds that seemed to play effortlessly in our minds.
In July 2022, the song entered the weekly chart of Radio Ze-Rock and debuted at number one. It then remained on the chart for an additional seven weeks.

4. Naum Leuma
Released: March 9, 2023
“Naum Lauma” was written in February amidst the dramatic events surrounding the judicial overhaul in Israel, a time when the nation was gripped by protests and unrest. The song emerged from deep feelings of betrayal and disillusionment, reflecting on a government that seemed to forsake the country’s foundational values, disrupt societal norms, and gamble with the future of its children.
The lyrics and melody convey raw emotion—disappointment, anger, and profound pain. Accompanying the song is a striking video featuring a static Holocaust-inspired image created with AI. The imagery, crafted using prompts derived from the song’s lyrics, symbolizes a dark forewarning, accentuated by protest footage embedded within the image’s borders.
This piece stands as an expression of fear and despair over a looming catastrophe, a haunting premonition realized tragically on October 7, 2023.
